adopt one of our Education Animals?
Adoption is
a great way to support OWLS and to contribute to the care and
maintenance of our Education Animals.
First, select
which animal you wish adopt. Contact OWLS to make arrangements.
After the adoption is complete you will be invited to meet
with one of the Education Staff or Volunteers and get a
behind-the-scenes look at your
newest "family member."
It's a great education opportunity
for children groups
If you are involved with a school, scouts, a home school or other
group consider adoption as part of your curriculum. Children will spend
the year learning about an animal species
through regular updates (every other month). You will be informed
of what your adopted animal is doing and what its wild relatives are
doing at different times of year. This program teaches children about
the annual
wildlife cycles in our area in a very personal way.
